Beads at the Iowa State Fair
It is the Iowa Bead Society that made the push for the Beadwork catagory (Division 308) in the Arts and Crafts section at the Iowa State Fair.
There are four catagories available for entry:
Beadwork-needle constructed jewelry (class 400)
Beadwork-needle constructed other than jewelry (class 401)
Beadwork-other than mentioned (class 402)
There are cash prizes donated by the Iowa Bead Society and awarded to the 1st ($15 to each ), 2nd ($10 to each), and 3rd ($5 to each) place winners in each catagory. We encourage all state of Iowa resident beaders to enter in one of these classes. As awarness of this class grows, so will the appreciation of the art.
