Iowa Bead Society
The Iowa Bead Society was started in October of 2002. We currently have 50+ members and continue to grow.
Our purpose is to promote the understanding and enjoyment of beads, beading and beadwork as an art form. The Society meets monthly and we have beaders of every kind in our group. We look forward to meeting new bead friends and sharing with each other the art of beading and making beads, so please come and join us.

Our next meeting is May 19th, 2008 from 6:30 - 8:30 Pilar Burg will be our instructor for the evening. Below are the photos of and the materials list for these very pretty pendants.

These pieces are made with two different sized crystals: 4mm and 6mm. For the circle the following will be needed:
Bracelet Sized
21-24 4mm crystal
size 15 seed beads
or
Pendant Sized
21-24 6mm crystal
size 11 seed beads
If you would like to make a bracelet out of your center piece, you can bring some extra crystals and Pilar will demonstrate how to attached the sides of the bracelet to the center piece.
***Czech fire polished beads may be substituted for crystals. Hope to see you there!
